SERC, in collaboration with the Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE), is pleased to offer Cohort 4 of the African American/Black and Puerto Rican/Latino Course of Studies Training Series for the 2024-2025 school year. We continue to gather highly regarded content experts, historians, and local social studies teachers to design and provide sessions related to key topics in tandem with the scope and sequence of the course. The revised format for this year will allow teachers to self-select sessions based on interest and need. New schools and/or new teachers implementing the course are encouraged to attend the series in its entirety to fully benefit from the learning community.

All sessions will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at SERC with lunch on your own.
